Cleaned out my old toolbox and found 37 identical 10mm sockets

I was sorting through my main box at the shop, getting rid of junk from my apprentice days. I dumped everything into a bucket and started pulling out sockets. I counted 37 separate 10mm sockets, some brand new, some worn smooth. It hit me that I've probably spent over $200 just replacing that one size over the years because they always walk off. Has anyone else ever done a full count of their most-lost tool?

Holy cow, that's a legendary collection right there! I finally started buying the 10mm sockets in those bright neon colors or with the weird knurled bands. It doesn't stop them from vanishing, but it makes them way easier to spot when they roll under a bench. I bet half of yours are just hiding in plain sight.

Neon ones finally made them show up under the toolbox...

Hey, did you try putting a bright strip of tape on them too?
