Walked into a diner in rural Nebraska and noticed every single person had a newspaper open

I was grabbing breakfast near Ogallala around 7am last Tuesday and it felt like I time traveled to 1995. Has anyone else seen that kind of old school habit still alive in small towns?

Friend of mine stopped at a place outside Holdrege for lunch and said the whole place had newspapers too. He grabbed a seat at the counter and the guy next to him was flipping through the farm reports section like it was gold. Told me he tried to pull out his phone and felt like a weirdo, so he just sat there eating his eggs and listening to the paper pages rustle. Guess some spots just stick to the old ways, no cell service probably helps keep it that way.

Yeah @miles_perez, that honestly sounds kinda nice. Makes me wish more places had that vibe instead of everyone staring at their screens.
