Used to ask "what's the best restaurant in town" but now I ask "what did you eat last night that was worth the money".
Changed my approach after getting 15 vague recommendations from a Facebook group thread that all pointed to the same overpriced steakhouse, has anyone else noticed the specific question gets better answers?

Three times this week I asked for a solid cheap taco spot and got crickets. People love to recommend places they want to be seen at, not places they actually paid for. A specific question cuts through all that nonsense.
