Noticed a big shift in how people ask questions here over the last year
About a year ago, most posts were simple, like 'how do I fix a leaky faucet?' Now, I see way more posts with detailed backstories, like 'my 1950s house in Savannah has galvanized pipes and the cold handle drips after I replaced the washer twice.' The change seemed to start around last fall. I think it's because the regulars here got better at giving answers when folks gave more specific info upfront. Has anyone else picked up on this, or is it just me?

You're right, it's like a homework assignment now. My faucet leak post would get a failing grade for lack of detail. Forgot to mention the water hardness, the phase of the moon, and my plumber's astrological sign. People are writing novels just to ask what wrench to use.

Wait, people actually include their plumber's sign? That's wild.

Huh, am I the only one who actually thought it was helpful to include all that? I mean... I used to write out every single detail about my sink disaster like I was submitting a report. But reading these comments... you guys are right. I spent half an hour describing the water pressure and pipe material, and the plumber still showed up confused. Now I just say "faucet drips, please send help" and it works way better. Way less embarrassing too.
