Hit 500 followers on my little niche blog and I'm honestly weirded out

I started this blog about vintage vacuum cleaner repair like 6 months ago just as a joke, and yesterday I hit 500 subscribers. It's bizarre because I don't even post that often and half the time I'm just rambling about belt tension. Anyone else get a random milestone that felt way bigger than it should have?

Why would you be weirded out by 500 people wanting to read about vacuum cleaners? That's basically a cult following and you should be Proud of it. Honestly those belt tension posts are probably the most useful thing on the internet right now since nobody else is talking about it. The whole point of a niche blog is to be super specific so you attract the exact right people who actually care. If anything you should lean into the weirdness even harder start posting about belt tension maintenance schedules or something. Your followers clearly want that deep vacuum repair content so don't act like it's a joke now.

Well 500 followers for vacuum repair sounds about right, I guess we're all just drawn to oddly specific corners of the internet. My recipe blog got 1,000 subscribers after I posted a photo of my cat sitting in a mixing bowl, so I'm clearly the expert here. Maybe your belt tension ramblings are exactly what people need, or maybe they're just as lost as we are.
