Chose between a reliable 2012 Civic or a flashy 2015 Mustang for my cleaning biz
Picked the Civic because $22,000 for the Mustang felt stupid when I'm hauling vacuums and mops. Runs fine at 140k miles and saves me $80 a month on gas - anyone else pick boring and not regret it?

Sorry but you're gonna regret this when you're stuck in a boring beige box for the next five years. That Mustang would've made every drive to work feel like a mini adventure, even if it costs a bit more. Boring is safe but safe is boring, man.

OH MY GOD wait, did @faithf77 actually say "boring beige box"?! That's hilarious because my dad drove the exact same boring beige Civic for like 12 years and it went through three snowstorms like a tank. A Mustang with cleaning supplies in the trunk would just smell like bleach and desperation every single morning, not exactly a "mini adventure" in my book!

Safe is boring, man" - tell that to your bank account when the Mustang's transmission gives out at 80k miles. You're hauling cleaning supplies, not groceries, and that Civic's got a backseat that actually folds down flat. Plus that $80 a month difference adds up to almost a grand a year you can spend on literally anything more fun than a car payment.
