Watched the 'Demon Slayer' movie in a packed theater versus at home, and the crowd made it better.

The energy during the big fight scenes, with everyone gasping and cheering, added a whole layer of excitement that my quiet living room just can't match. It turned a great animation showcase into a shared event. Do you think the viewing environment actually changes how good an anime feels?

A packed theater can be a real pain though. People talking, phones lighting up, it pulls you right out of the story. Sometimes the best way to appreciate the art is in total silence at home.

My friend Dave had a guy in front of him at a horror movie who was loudly reading every single subtitle out loud.

That "packed theater" thing is too real. I saw a movie last year where someone brought a whole bucket of fried chicken and crinkled the bag for two straight hours. The sound design was all just grease paper and chewing.
