The $80 box set of a 90s anime I loved as a kid

I finally bought that old mecha series on Blu-ray, the one I watched on fuzzy VHS tapes back in 2001. It cost $80 and the picture is SO clear it feels like a different show, but the story still hits the same way. The dub is different though, and my favorite line from when I was 14 is totally reworded. I almost regret spending the cash, but then again it's nice to own something real instead of streaming it for a month. Anyone else ever rewatch a classic and wish they'd kept the crummy old version instead?

Same thing happened with my DBZ tapes. Gohan sounds wrong now.
