Stood in line at an anime convention panel last weekend and noticed something weird
The crowd was dead quiet during the Q&A until someone asked about the voice actor's favorite ramen, then everyone lit up like crazy - has anyone else seen panels totally change vibe over random food talk?

Yeah, the ramen question totally broke the ice. It's like everyone's silently waiting for permission to be casual, and food is the universal safe topic that makes panels feel less like a lecture and more like hanging out.

Kinda feels like people overthink these things. A panel is just a conversation in front of a crowd. Nobody's grading anyone. Asking about ramen doesn't need permission or strategy. It's just a normal human thing to do. Sometimes I think people treat panels like therapy sessions when really it's just about sharing stuff.
