Question about the MyAnimeList server crash during the 'Frieren' finale
The entire site went down for over 2 hours last Saturday night, right when I was trying to update my list and read reviews, which completely ruined my post-episode ritual.

Always thought it was overblown, but that crash proved me wrong.

Oh man, that crash was brutal. I've been through this exact thing before with MAL during big finale nights, it's like clockwork with them. Best thing I learned is to just screenshot your list before the episode airs next time, that way you're not stuck refreshing for hours. Also try using an alternative like AniList as a backup for your ratings, it's way more stable during peak times. Honestly MAL needs to get their act together but they never seem to upgrade their servers enough for these moments.
