Noticed a big difference in my subbed vs dubbed watch speed this month
I used to only watch dubbed anime because I could multitask while it played. But three weeks ago I switched to subbed for a show where the dub was behind by 5 episodes. At first I felt like I was reading too slow and missing action. Now I actually pause the show less and catch more details because I'm not looking away. It took about 15 episodes before my brain just got used to reading without thinking about it. I finished 2 full seasons in the time it would have taken me for 1 dubbed season before. Has anyone else noticed a big shift in how fast they burn through shows after switching formats?

Same thing happened to me. Took about a week of forcing myself to stick with subs before my reading speed caught up. Now I tear through episodes way faster because I don't get distracted by my phone or whatever else is going on around me. The big thing is you stop re-watching scenes you missed because you looked away from the dub. You end up with way less dead time.

Noticed the same thing, now I binge watch subbed shows way faster than I ever did with dubs.
