I thought spoiler warnings were a waste of time, but I was wrong
I once rolled my eyes at spoiler tags in forum talks. It seemed like too much effort for little gain. Then, I casually mentioned a major plot twist from a recent series without any warning. A fellow viewer messaged me, upset that I had spoiled their experience. That message hit me hard, and I realized how selfish my posting had been. I began using spoiler tags in all my comments from then on. Now, I notice more people engaging with my posts since they feel safe to read. It's made our community talks a lot more welcoming for new fans. What small habit shift improved your forum participation?

Honestly, did it take ruining someone's show to finally use spoiler tags?

Noticed this happening everywhere, not just with TV shows. Friends spoil sports scores before you see the highlights. Coworkers leak office news that should stay quiet. Even family can't keep a surprise party secret. It feels like nobody stops to think how their words affect others. Basic respect seems to be fading fast.
