That moment my panel started beeping at 2am because I forgot to seal the attic wire entry

Last Thursday in a old house in Austin I ran a new wire through the attic and didn't use silicone around the hole, and a raccoon chewed through it at 2am causing a false alarm that had the customer calling me furious the next morning has anyone else had an animal cause a short on a zone after a simple install?

Missed the part where steel wool scratches everything up if you're not careful though. That's the thing with life right now, everyone's got this quick fix ready but nobody talks about the downsides. Like my buddy who bought that expensive phone charger and it fried his battery in a week. Or my sister who tried that laundry hack and ruined three shirts. Just seems like we're all jumping at instant solutions without thinking about the long game.
