Shoutout to the guy who showed me how to test zones without climbing ladders
Used to spend 30 minutes per residential job walking around poking sensors with a magnet to verify each zone. Then a coworker in Dallas showed me the zone bypass trick on the panel itself. Now I test everything from the keypad in under 5 minutes. Anyone else learn a simple shortcut way later than they should have?

@barnes.shane lmao right? Ladders are basically just fancy shoe racks for most of us now. But yeah this connects to something bigger I notice all the time - people overcomplicate stuff because they never step back and ask "wait is there a faster way to do this?" Like my mom spent years hand-washing dishes until I showed her the dishwasher has a pots setting lol. Half the battle is just admitting you might be doing things the hard way.
