PSA: I picked a 2GIG panel over a Honeywell for a Reno job because the client wanted smart home stuff.
It worked fine for the alarm, but their wifi kept dropping and the app got flaky. Anyone else had issues with smart features on basic installs?

My buddy's client had the same exact problem last fall. The thermostat would just go offline for hours, and the door locks would show "updating" forever. They ended up running a separate mesh network just for the smart devices, which totally defeated the whole point. Felt like a constant band-aid fix.

Constant band-aid fix" sounds dramatic, it's just some wifi hiccups.
