Picked a wireless panel over hardwired for a ranch house last Friday
I had to choose between a wired Vista and a wireless Qolsys for a 3,000 square foot house in the country. Went with the wireless because the attic was full of blown insulation and crawling through it would have taken all day. Has anyone dealt with signal range issues on those bigger properties?

Man, I gotta say I would have gone the opposite way on that. Wired is bulletproof once it's in and you're not messing with batteries or interference. Blown insulation is a pain but a couple hours of sweating it out beats replacing panel batteries every year and hoping the signal doesn't drop when the cows walk by.

@sethr11 I feel you on the wired being more solid once it's in. But man, that blown insulation is a nightmare. Buddy of mine tried to run wire through his attic last summer and ended up with fiberglass all over him for a week. He said it looked like he got in a fight with a snowman made of itch. Plus his wireless panel at his hunting cabin has been fine for two years now, no signal issues even with deer walking right past the sensors. So I think it's a trade off either way, just depends on how much you hate crawling through insulation.
