Found a trick for wiring motion sensors in drop ceilings...
I was doing a job last week at a school in Phoenix, and those drop ceiling tiles were driving me nuts. Kept having to pull them down to run wire and they never sat flush after. A buddy told me to use a magnetic fishing tool to route the wire above the grid before dropping down at the sensor spot. Worked like a charm, saved me about 2 hours on a 12 sensor install. Anyone else got a ceiling trick that beats the usual headache?

Pattern I keep seeing is we spend more time fighting the ceiling than the actual wiring.

fighting the ceiling" is basically my whole career at this point, hah. I swear those drop ceiling tiles know when you're in a hurry and gang up on you. The magnetic fishing tool is genius though, Ive been using a stiff wire coat hanger like some kind of cave man. I once spent 45 minutes getting a tile back in place only to realize I had wired the sensor backwards and had to take it all down again. Maybe I'll finally upgrade to a real tool after reading this.
