Finally got a clean signal from a wireless sensor I buried in a concrete porch slab last month.

Actually, that timing seems pretty normal for a buried sensor in concrete. The slab might be cured enough to walk on in a few days, but it takes weeks for the moisture deep inside to fully go away and stop messing with signals. A month is a solid wait for a stable reading.

Buried it a month ago? That's a long time for concrete to fully cure and settle. What kind of sensor are you using that held up?

Ever try those epoxy coated sensors? I had to bury one for a sprinkler line last year and it's still fine. The plastic housing on cheaper ones always cracks from the pressure, but a thick coat of that waterproof epoxy putty around the wires before you backfill makes a huge difference. Just make sure the seal is totally dry first.
