Client sent me a photo of their panel 6 months after install - night and day difference

Did a fully hardwired 16 zone system in a ranch house back in March. Panel was a clean, labeled mess when I left. Got a call yesterday because they wanted to add motion sensors. The homeowner sent me a current photo and I barely recognized it. Some genius had cut all my zip ties, added 4 wireless modules with tangled wire loops, and taped a extension cord to the side for a power supply. The wires were all twisted together with no strain relief anywhere. They said their brother in law "helped" expand it last month. Took me 2 hours to undo the mess and re-land everything. Has anyone else had a client let a relative mess with your work after you left?

oh man thats rough. i mean yeah, brother in law special is basically a meme in this industry for a reason. they always think they're helping but they just leave a disaster behind. my thing is, if you're gonna let someone touch my work at least have them call me first, you know? i get wanting to save money but now you paid me double to fix what they broke.
