A customer's one question made me switch my whole panel mounting method
I used to anchor panels straight into drywall with just plastic anchors, never had a complaint in 5 years. Then a homeowner in Phoenix asked me if it would hold up when their kid hangs from it during a false alarm scare. I laughed it off, but that night I looked up the pull-out ratings on those cheap anchors and changed to toggle bolts the next install. Now I carry both sizes in the truck and it adds maybe 10 minutes per job. Anyone else get corrected by a customer's offhand remark and actually stick with the change?

Got a similar wakeup call a few years back when a guy asked if my shelf brackets could survive his kid using them as a ladder. I laughed and said probably, then actually tested one that night with a 50lb bag of concrete. It pulled clean out of the wall. Swapped to molly bolts for anything that holds weight and honestly it's been night and day. The extra few minutes is nothing compared to not getting that call back. Now I keep a pack of both in my van at all times, cheap insurance honestly. Customer questions can be annoying but sometimes they're looking out for you without meaning to.
