Threw $30 at those silicone air fryer liners and learned my lesson the hard way

I bought a pack of 50 silicone liners from Amazon last month thinking they'd save me cleanup time. They worked okay for chicken nuggets but when I tried making salmon at 400F the liner started smoking and smelling like burnt plastic. My whole kitchen stank for two days. Has anyone found a liner that actually holds up to high heat cooking in the air fryer?

Nah, I've used mine at 400 for salmon plenty of times without any smoking or smell lol.

Funny you mention this because my buddy tried those silicone muffin cups in his air fryer thinking they'd be perfect for eggs. They melted into a puddle of goo that looked like a melted plastic toy. The whole condo building smelled like a chemical fire for the rest of the week. Honestly I just use parchment paper cut to size now, it's cheap and you toss it after each use. The silicone stuff is fine for low temp stuff like reheating pizza but anything above 350 just turns into a mess.
