Pro tip: Do not try to air fry a whole block of tofu straight from the package

I saw a video where someone just cubed a block of extra firm tofu, tossed it in cornstarch, and air fried it. Mine was a wet mess. The outside got a weird skin while the inside stayed soggy. I learned you have to press the water out for at least 30 minutes first, or it steams instead of crisps. Has anyone found a good press method that doesn't take all day?

Learned that the hard way too. I just put the block on a plate with a heavy pan on top for an hour.
