So you've been trying to cook fries with the power of your mind, @avery_carr57? I did that once with a frozen pizza and just got a sad, cold disc. The angry staring only works if you also do a little dance and threaten to order takeout. My oven usually caves after that. What's the longest you've waited for a glare to work?

Honestly, the angry staring method worked better for me with a toaster oven once. I was trying to toast a bagel and got so mad I forgot to push the lever down. Ended up just eating a cold, hard bagel while glaring at the counter like it owed me money. But for fries, I had better luck when I started tossing them in a bowl with oil and paprika before baking. Now they come out crispy every time, no mind powers required.
