My air fryer basket broke mid-cook last night

I was making chicken wings at 400 degrees and the handle just snapped right off the basket. Had to use oven mitts to fish the whole thing out of the fryer before it burned. Now I'm looking at replacement baskets online and they cost like $25 each. Has anyone found a cheap fix for this or should I just buy a new air fryer?

$25 for a replacement basket? Dude just buy a whole new air fryer for like $40 at Target when they go on sale. Seems like a no brainer to me.

You make a fair point, but I think this whole "just buy new instead of fixing" thing is why we're all drowning in plastic junk that breaks after a year. Sometimes it's worth paying a little more to keep something going.
