My air fryer attempted to launch a broccoli floret across the kitchen.

I was just trying to roast some broccoli, and it shot out like a tiny green rocket. Now I have a veggie stain on my ceiling that looks like modern art.

Your vent design creates lift like a small plane wing.

Actually, I have to disagree... @fionaw54, the vent design is more about directing air down, not up like lift. Plane wings need air moving over them fast, but here the air is just being pushed out slowly. The shape might look a bit similar, but the function is totally different... Vents are for getting rid of air, not making it rise. I've seen these things in action, and they don't act like wings at all.

Totally agree with you... saw one of those vents in a friend's garage and the air just sort of drifts out and sinks. It's not fast or smooth like over a wing at all. @fionaw54 is really reaching with that plane wing idea... the shape is just to guide the flow down and away, not create any lift.
