My $25 silicone liner melted into my chicken wings

I threw a cheap silicone basket liner in at 400 degrees last Tuesday and it fused right onto the wings, took 20 minutes to scrape off. Anyone else had those thin generic liners fail at high heat, or is it just me?

Last Tuesday I melted a spatula onto my grill and ate plastic flakes with my burgers, so honestly you're doing better than me. Mine was a $3 dollar store special, but I still blamed the chicken.
