I used to fry chicken in a quart of oil, then my air fryer changed my Sunday routine
For years I did the whole deep fry thing on Sundays, heating up a big pot with 4 cups of canola and standing over it for 25 minutes while the house smelled like a Waffle House. About 8 months ago I tried drumsticks in the air fryer at 380 for 22 minutes and they came out crispy with almost no cleanup apart from a quick rinse of the basket. Does anyone here have a trick for getting the skin to crisp without adding a light coat of oil first?
