Strolled through the AI expo at McCormick Place and felt like I time traveled

Saw a booth showing off a tool that generates 3D models from just a few photos, and it hit me how far we've come from the clunky CAD software I used back in 2016. Has anyone else noticed older tech totally fading out at these events?

Heard @laurar38 and yeah, that interior scan demo blew my mind too. Honestly, I had the same exact thought about Blender, makes me wonder if I've been overcomplicating things this whole time. Ngl, watching a full scan pop up in under a minute felt like cheating or something.

Had a similar moment there. Always thought photogrammetry stuff was just a gimmick for hobbyists, but seeing a full interior scan generate in under a minute changed my mind completely. Used to swear by manual modeling in Blender for everything, but that booth demo showed me how much time I've been wasting. Makes me wonder what'll be considered old tech five years from now.
