Why AI autocomplete seemed like a gimmick until I had to use it
I used to roll my eyes at those AI tools that pop up code suggestions. They seemed like training wheels for people who can't program. Then I got handed a legacy system with no docs and a week to add features. Out of options, I turned on the autocomplete. It guessed the old API calls I needed, saving me hours of digging. Now I keep it on for tricky bits, and it cuts my debug time in half. Funny how being stubborn kept me from using a helpful tool.
