Shoutout to the guy who told me I was prompting AI wrong
I spent like 3 months using ChatGPT to write code and kept getting garbage back. Felt like I was fighting it every single time. Then a dev at a meetup in Austin asked me if I was giving it context or just pasting raw tasks. I was just typing "fix this function" with zero explanation. Once I started adding a paragraph about the project structure and what I already tried, everything clicked. Has anyone else hit that wall where you realize the tool was fine but your approach was junk?

Oh man, I've been there. It took me way too long to figure out that dumping a vague request is basically useless. Giving it a little backstory changed everything for me too.

Did you start treating it like a junior dev who needs the full picture before touching code? That's what finally clicked for me, now I dump my whole thought process in there and the output actually makes sense.
