Saw a stat that AI can now write code faster than a human team of 10
I was reading a tech report from Stanford yesterday and it said some new AI models can finish a full software project in 2 days, which would take a group of ten devs about a month. That's wild to me, because I always thought AI was just for small fixes. Does this mean junior developer jobs are basically done for now?

Heard my buddy who's a junior dev got laid off last week. His whole team got replaced by some AI coding tool. Really makes you wonder what jobs are safe anymore.

Wait, they replaced the whole team? Not just one person? That's insane. I figured these tools were for helping, not doing the whole job. What kind of company just fires everyone and hopes the robot works?

Rip out the whole team and hope the robot works" is exactly what happened to my cousin's marketing department. They fired the entire design and copy team, kept one manager to babysit the AI, and now the company's output is this weird uncanny valley garbage that gets flagged by clients constantly. It's not even saving them money because they keep having to hire freelance people to fix the AI's mistakes. @jason958, the worst part is upper management refuses to admit it's failing because that would mean admitting they made a bad call. Five years from now they'll be complaining that nobody knows how to do the work anymore.
