Question about that AI tool that promised to write my emails in 2 minutes
I signed up for this email AI assistant three months ago because I was drowning in client messages. The first week it was amazing, it wrote replies that sounded just like me. But then last Thursday it sent a customer a response that said I'd "love to discuss their project" when I had specifically told it to say I was unavailable until next month. I spent 45 minutes damage controlling with that client. The developer said it was a training issue but I don't have time to babysit an AI that's supposed to save me time. Has anyone else had an AI tool just completely ignore your instructions and make things worse?

Oh no, that's rough. I had almost the exact same thing happen with a scheduling bot, it told a client I'd call them back in an hour when I was on vacation and unreachable. The fix took way longer than the time the tool was supposed to save, which feels like a total betrayal of the whole point. It's really frustrating when a tool that claims to help just ends up making more work and stress for you.

@ninamartin idk, sometimes the hiccups are worth it for the time saved overall.
