My AI voice clone for a client demo went totally off the rails

I was putting together a quick demo for a kitchen remodel client, and I thought it would be cool to use an AI voice tool to narrate the 3D walkthrough. I used a free online service, fed it a script I wrote, and picked a calm, professional voice. The first run was fine, but when I tried to generate a second version with a small change, the AI started adding these weird, dramatic pauses and then suddenly said, 'And here... we contemplate... the eternal void of the backsplash.' I swear, that's a direct quote. It completely broke the professional vibe. On one hand, it's a funny story about AI being unpredictable, but on the other, it shows how these tools can still mess up in ways you'd never expect. It taught me to always do a full listen-through before showing a client anything. Has anyone else had an AI tool add totally random, unscripted nonsense like that?

Is this really a big deal though or just a funny glitch you can laugh about later?

Wow, I actually don't think that's as crazy as you're making it sound. Most of these free AI voice tools have a built-in creativity slider or temperature setting that can cause them to go off script if you don't lock it down. You probably had it set to something like "expressive" or "creative" mode without realizing it. The "eternal void of the backsplash" thing is funny for sure, but it's not really random nonsense - the AI was just trying to add drama to what it saw as a dull description. I'd blame the tool settings more than the AI itself.
