I watched a customer at my store use an AI tool to design a custom shelving unit on his phone last week.

That kind of thing is becoming normal now. It's like seeing someone use a calculator instead of doing long division by hand. Last month, a friend used an app to plan her entire garden layout before buying a single plant. The tools are just there, built into everything. It makes custom stuff accessible to people who aren't experts. The real shift is how we don't even question it anymore.

Totally! I did the exact same thing with an app when I repainted my living room. I just took a picture of the room and tried out like twenty different colors on the walls without buying a single sample can. It's wild how we just expect that tech to be there now, like of course there's an app for that. It saves so much time and money on guesswork. The garden planner thing sounds awesome, I might need that for my sad little patio plants lol.

It's funny how these tools change our habits, Wendy. I remember when my daughter wanted to paint her room purple a few years back, and we actually bought four different sample pots. What a mess that was, with little patches all over the wall. Now she just uses her phone to try colors, and it looks perfect. I suppose the old way did help her learn that some purples are truly awful in real light, though. The tech is great, but it can smooth over the little lessons you get from making a real mess sometimes.
