I was at a tech meetup in Austin and saw a demo of a new AI tool for video editing

The presenter showed how this thing, called ClipLogic, could automatically find and cut out all the silent parts from a 45-minute interview in about two minutes. I edit a lot of talking-head stuff for a small project, and doing that by hand used to take me forever. Now I just feed it the file and get a rough cut back instantly. Has anyone else tried an AI editor that actually saves real time on boring tasks?

That silent part removal is a total game changer. I use a different tool for the same job and it gave me an hour back on every project. The key is checking its work for weird cuts at first.

Is it really that big of a deal though? It just cuts out silence, it doesn't do the actual creative editing. You still have to watch the whole thing to check for mistakes, so how much time are you really saving? Feels like another tool that gets hyped up for doing one simple job.
