I used to think AI art was just fancy filters, but a demo at a tech meetup in Portland changed my mind.
The artist showed how the model built the image in layers, making real creative choices. Anyone else see an AI demo that flipped their view on how it actually works?

My demo just made me feel old.

Seeing it build in layers like that made me realize it's more than just a tool.

That demo sounds way more involved than the one I saw. Mine basically just mashed a bunch of stolen pictures together and called it a day. Pretty sure the only creative choice it made was which copyright to ignore.
