Compared Claude and GPT for my client brief, the difference was night and day
I gave both the same 40 page PDF and messy notes, Claude caught the key contract risk in 2 minutes while GPT kept summarizing fluff, has anyone else found one model just clicks better for legal docs?

Third page of my lease review, Claude flagged a hidden auto-renewal clause that would've locked us in for another 18 months. GPT said "the document appears standard" and gave me a bullet point list of what a lease is. It's like one model actually read the thing and the other just skimmed the title page. Honestly, I'm starting to think GPT is just really good at sounding confident while being completely useless. That's a dangerous combo for legal docs, my friend.

Happened to a buddy of mine last spring, he used GPT to check a contractor's bid and it said everything looked fair. Turned out there was a line about "materials escalation" buried in the fine print that let them charge him an extra $4,000 for lumber. He only caught it because his dad happened to read the thing over his shoulder. I swear, these tools are great for getting a summary but you still gotta read the actual words yourself.
