Spent 14 hours modeling and printing a replacement gear for the feed handle. The plastic gear stripped after three minutes of use. Anyone else learn the hard way that some things just need to be machined from steel?
I noticed last month that every guy in our shop who removes the blade guard 'just for one cut' ends up keeping it off for good, but Tom from the afternoon shift had a chunk of grinding wheel hit his safety glasses two days after he bragged about never needing the guard, so now I'm the guy who stays late to put them back on anyone who leaves them off overnight.
