Called bullshit on cheap bumper plates, ate my words after 6 months at my garage gym

I bought a set of $1.50 per pound rubber bumper plates off Amazon last January. Figured they'd crack or smell like a tire fire. Six months of drop after drop and they're still square. Zero wobble on the bar. The coating finally convinced me when I left them out in the rain by accident in Texas summer heat. Anybody else luck out with bargain gear that surprised you?

Six months of drop after drop and they're still square" that's honestly wild for budget plates, I've been burned so many times by cheap gear but your story gives me hope lol. The Texas rain test is legit too, if they survived that without rusting or swelling you got a steal for sure.
