Broke my cheap padlock with a pencil shavings trick

My locker at the gym kept jamming. I thought the pin was stuck. So I greased it up with WD-40 for months. Then last Wednesday, a guy named Dave saw me fighting it. He said try graphite powder from a pencil tip. Three seconds of scraping and it clicked open like butter. I felt dumb. Who else had a simple fix they ignored for way too long?

Graphite powder is the real deal lol. WD-40 just collects dust and makes it worse.

My buddy tried that WD-40 trick on his old lock and it gummed up so bad he had to call a locksmith to get his own front door open. Cost him almost two hundred bucks just to learn what everybody else already knew. He switched over to graphite after that and says he's never had a single problem since. Just a little puff in the keyhole and it works smooth as butter for months.
