Why does nobody talk about glue drying out in toy motors?
I spent two hours last week taking apart this old RC car that wouldn't move. Checked the batteries, checked the wires, everything looked fine. Turns out the glue holding the motor magnets had dried up and the whole thing was just stuck. A little drop of super glue on the magnet edges got it running again. Wish I knew that years ago instead of throwing out a dozen broken toys. Anyone else run into this with battery powered stuff?

Bet it happened to a few old train sets too.

Bet that happens all the time with those old metal train motors too. The glue just turns to dust after a couple decades in a box in the attic. Really makes you wonder how many perfectly good toys got tossed just because nobody knew about that one fix. I had a bunch of those little handheld games from the 90s where the motors would seize up and I just assumed they were dead forever. Kind of makes me want to go dig through my parents basement and see what else I can save with a dab of super glue.
