That $60 vintage toy lot I bought on Facebook Marketplace had a broken motor in every single car
Three of the five cars had dead batteries too, plus one was missing a wheel, so I'm out the cash and stuck with a pile of plastic shells, anyone else get burned by a 'bundle deal' that was just someone's trash?

Wait, a broken motor in EVERY single car? That's not bad luck, that's someone deliberately offloading their junk on you. Three with dead batteries on top of that, plus a missing wheel, this seller knew exactly what they were doing. I can't believe people actually list this garbage and call it a "vintage toy lot" like it's some treasure find. You basically paid $60 for someone else's trash cleanup, that's infuriating. The audacity to not even mention the motors are shot in the listing, that's a whole new level of scummy.

Had the same thing happen with a lot of old Tonka trucks I bought online last year. Seller posted them as "lightly used" but every single one had rusted out axles and broken hinges. I ended up stripping them for parts and making two good ones out of the mess. So now I only buy lots that have detailed photos of the undersides and any damage, plus I always message the seller first asking specific questions about motors or mechanical bits. If they dance around the answer or take forever to reply, I walk away. Saved me from getting burned a few times since then.
