That $250 fancy blackout curtain I bought 2 years ago is the only reason I still sleep through garbage trucks at 9 AM
Was skeptical dropping that much on a single curtain but after trying cheap ones that still let light bleed through the edges, this thing has a magnetic strip on the sides and now my room stays pitch black even during summer afternoons, anyone else swear by a random overpriced item that actually saved their shift?

Hold up, a magnetic strip on the sides? That's wild. I didn't even know curtains came with magnets, I just assumed you had to tape the edges down or live with the light leaks. For $250 it better come with a lifetime guarantee or something, but if it actually keeps your room like a cave then maybe I get it.

Found some cheaper ones on Amazon actually, around $80 for a pair and they work just as good for blocking out light. I tried the tape thing first but it peeled off after a week and left sticky residue all over the window frame. The magnet strips are sewn right into the fabric so they just snap to the side of the frame, no mess no fuss. My room gets zero light from the sides now and it makes a huge difference for sleeping in on weekends. Grab the ones with the metal strip you attach to the wall though, some cheap brands skip that and the magnets have nothing to grab onto
