My neighbor's leaf blower at 7 AM every Saturday finally broke me

Last weekend I was standing on my porch in Portland with my second cup of coffee watching him blow three leaves around for 45 minutes. Has anyone else just given up and bought noise canceling headphones instead of trying to talk to the person?

Man, that early morning leaf blower ritual is a special kind of torture. Living in Portland myself, I've learned that some neighbors just have their own weird schedules that nothing will change. Noise canceling headphones are a solid investment for sanity, but have you tried setting your own loud coffee grinder to go off right when he starts?
