Caught myself editing posts for grammar instead of enforcing rules for like 6 months
A user finally called me out in a DM after I corrected their spelling on a borderline racist comment and I realized I'd been totally missing the real problem. Has anyone else accidentally turned into a grammar cop instead of actually moderating?

Have you tried setting up AutoMod to flag certain keywords so you're not manually catching everything? That's what pulled me out of the grammar trap and back into dealing with the actual garbage.

Totally feel you on that. AutoMod has been my life saver, but it still misses so much. Like yesterday I walked away for five minutes and came back to fifteen replies to some old thread where someone was arguing in all caps about how "their" and "there" are the same thing. It's exhausting. The grammar stuff used to take up all my time until I set up automations for it, but now the actual hateful garbage just flows in from new accounts faster than I can block them. Solidarity, friend.
