Always walked past this one spot on the beach, then I finally dug there

Last Saturday at Ocean Shores, I was about to pack up my detector after finding nothing but pull tabs for 2 hours. Decided to try this little patch of sand near a driftwood log where everyone tosses their shoes. Pulled out a 1921 silver dime about 6 inches down... totally changed my mind about just picking random spots. Now I always look for where people sit or drop stuff instead of open beach. Anybody else have a spot they ignored forever that ended up being gold?

Kicking up a 1921 silver dime after two hours of pull tabs is the kind of find that keeps you coming back. People definitely overlook the spots right next to where everyone's shoes end up, and it's wild how much stuff gets buried under just a few inches of sand. Glad you stuck it out and found real treasure instead of another soda can.

That 1921 dime is a nice find, but let's be real - you were two hours into digging pull tabs and garbage. That's not some magical sixth sense for spotting shoes, that's just random luck finally working in your favor. I've spent entire weekends targeting those exact spots by towels and coolers and pulled up nothing but bottle caps and a rusted beach toy. The sand shifts constantly, so what was six inches down last Saturday might be three feet deep after a storm.
