Just looked at my sales numbers from last month and one stat really jumped out

I was going through my Shopify dashboard for August and noticed 62% of my orders came from repeat customers. That surprised me because I usually focus all my energy on finding new buyers. I actually heard this stat in a podcast by Steli Efti from Close.com where he said most sellers ignore their existing base. Has anyone else tracked how much of their revenue comes from people who already bought from them?

Wow, that Steli Efti guy really knows his stuff! I read somewhere that keeping customers is way cheaper than finding new ones.

Yeah but that stat gets thrown around without much backup.
