TIL my local Ace Hardware sharpens shears for $5 and it saved my hedge trimming day
I dragged my dull bypass pruners to Ace last Saturday after fighting with shrubs for an hour. The guy at the counter ran them through a wheel in 90 seconds, and they cut through branches like butter now. Has anyone else found a random hardware store service that actually beats buying new tools?

Totally agree! My local Ace sharpened my loppers for $4 and it seriously felt like a brand new tool. Way cheaper than replacing them and they do it while you wait too.

$4 is a steal. First time I took garden shears in I felt like a hero, the guy handed them back and said "these might need a few more passes in a few years". So basically my cheap shears are on borrowed time but hey, I'll take the extra two seasons.
