Warning: My same old run was sucking the fun right out of it
I remember when I first got into running, I stuck to my neighborhood block like glue every single day. After a while, it felt pointless and I just went through the motions. My mind would wander to everything except why I was out there. I figured out that my brain needed something new to latch onto. So I started picking a different street or park each time, just to see what was there. Now, I look forward to picking my route like it's a little adventure. That shift made running something I choose, not something I have to do. It's wild how a small change brought back that good feeling.

Mixing routes really helps. Ruby290, I just explore nearby areas.

Where do you find new spots to check out?

Google Maps helps (seriously), but sometimes just picking a direction and walking works better.
