My old way of doing laundry took 2 hours and ruined my favorite hoodie
Honestly, I used to just cram everything into one load on hot water no matter what. Last Tuesday I threw my dark hoodie in with a white towel and it came out looking like a tie-dye disaster. Now I sort into three piles: lights, darks, and delicates, and I use cold water for everything except bedding. Took ruining that $40 hoodie from Target to finally read the care tags. Anyone else have a laundry fail that forced them to change their whole system?

Started doing the exact same thing after I shrunk my favorite concert tee down to doll size. Sorting by color and fabric type feels like a pain at first but now it's just automatic like muscle memory. Cold water saves energy too which is a bonus. It's funny how one small mess up can completely rewire your whole routine, not just with laundry but with a bunch of stuff in life.

Oh man, tell me about it. I still cringe remembering the time I accidentally washed my favorite wool sweater in hot water and it came out looking like it belonged to a toddler. Now I'm the weirdo who labels laundry baskets like "delicates" and "cold darks only." My partner thinks I've lost it, but honestly, better safe than sorry. Life's funny like that, one good screw-up and suddenly you're the most organized person in the room.
